Turkish hotels and restaurants continue to increase in price

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TSI), inflation in June 2025 increased by 1.37% compared to the previous month, 16.67% compared to December last year, 35.05% compared to the same month last year, and 43.23% compared to the average of the last twelve months.


The highest annual growth was recorded in the "education" sector — 73.33%. This sector was followed by housing (housing) with 65.54%, healthcare with 38.70%, various goods and services with 36.21%, and restaurants and hotels with 35.59%.


The areas that became most expensive in June:

  • Education – 4.48%

  • Apartment – 2.62%

  • Transportation – 2.38%

  • Restaurants and hotels – 2.10%

  • Household items – 2.01%

Prices in restaurants and hotels:

  • Compared to the previous month – 2.10%

  • Compared to December last year – 20.82%

  • Compared to the same month last year – 35.59%

  • It increased by 51.26% compared to the average of the last 12 months.

According to ENAG, annual inflation is 71.23%.

According to figures released by the Independent Inflation Research Group (ENAG), in June 2025:

  • Monthly inflation – 3.05%

  • Annual inflation was recorded at 68.68%.
