Visitors to the Eiffel Tower on the eve of the Paris Olympics are being increased.
Using an elevator in the tower from June 17 will increase the cost of a visit by 20%, and the cost of climbing stairs by 42%.
From the date of receipt, the price of a ticket for an elevator visit (climbing to the highest point in the tower) will be raised from 29.40 euros to 35.30 euros. And the ticket for a classic walk (don't climb a staircase on the second floor) is raised from 10 euros to 14.20 euros.
French media say the goal of the price hike is to meet the cost of repairing the structure.
Not to be overlooked is the conflict that alcohol abuse can cause in the family. More than 6.3 million tourists visited the tower last year.z
